Strong Winds plays a big part of the Richmond Golf Club's Handiskins Final today. Picking the right club to used was made extremely difficult for our four finalists but Mick Powell mastered it the best winning $510. Newcomer to the game Mitch Nixon was close behind, with Glen Reynolds and Ben Rosser rounding out the prizemoney. Well done to all the finalists in trying conditions. And don't worry Ben, you're still in the mix for money prizes and a national title at the National Championships in May.
All four finalists received a Bridgestone Golf Cap and fought kit out for their share in $600 of Club Vouchers. The final standings were:
- Mick Powell - $510
- Mitch Nixon - $430
- Glen Reynolds - $230
- Ben Rosser - $30
National Finalists
All four finalists have now also qualified for the national championship and are extended an invitation to contest Australasia's best Amateur golf championship at the 2020 Handiskins National Final at RACV Royal Pines Resort next year (Wed 29 Apr - Sun 3 May 2020). Given the great spirit contesting today we are sure all four finalists would be able to claim the silverware and be crowned Handiskins National Champion. Handiskins National Final Packages are now open to qualifiers to secure their rooms.
