September 2023 Handiskins Results
Highlight of the Month September 2023 #1
Hurstville Golf Club has been a long standing Handiskins participant club having played its first competition back in and September 2023 saw this terrific community club in Sydney play host to its eleventh Handiskins Final, crowning Michael Wappett as its newest champion.
A great thing about this is that no golfer at Hurstville has ever won more than one Handiskins Championship, with the eleven titles all going to different players. This is what makes Handiskins great. It is a true handicapped event that treats men, women, and juniors the same, irrespective of their handicap.
Long live the good folk of Hurstville for their continued support, and congratulations to Michael Wappett for playing himself into the clubs history books.
As Hurstville celebrates its eleventh year, we also welcome its Sydney beachfront neighbours Long Reef Golf Club into the Handiskins fold as they celebrate the completion of their first season. Its a mix of young and old at Handiskins, a competition that grows its rich history every year.

Don't forget the Yamaha Chipping Competition!
Don't forget that three players from each participating club also have the chance to clean up at the Handiskins National Championships Week. After taking out the the nearest the pin challenge in the first, third and fifth rounds of qualifying, don't be surprised if you see these qualifiers spending an extended amount of time around the club chipping greens in the coming months. All three players who took out the nearest the pin have scored an invitation to contest the Yamaha Chipping competition at the 2024 Handiskins Championship Week. The winner will return to their club as the owner of a brand new Yamaha Golf Cart - just like our lucky 2023 winner Peter Kirwin from Cowra Golf Club (watch below).
