Simon Newrick blitzes the Handiskins field at Rockingham Golf Club to win the 2024 Handiskins Club Championship

Highlights of the February 2024 Comps

Rockingham Golf Club witnessed two massive jackpot holes won by Simon Newrick - giving him a big win and a total of $920 and getting himself onto the Handiskins Hall of Fame all-time money winner list

Everglades Country Club contested great final with four A-graders. Only five shots separated our four finalists with Tony Tully finishing on top winning $375 in a well-shared prize-pot.

Royal Hobart Golf Club contested its 2023 final which had to the held back due to operational reasons. Thirteen jackpot holes shows us how tight this competition was. Every golfer had the chance to win it on the $400 jackpotted 18th - but the hole was tied and Lachlan Meaburn held on to take the honors.

February 3, 2024 - Royal Hobart Golf Club ($1,200):

  • Winner: Lachlan Meaburn ($580)

Well done everyone. We hope to see you at the Handiskins National Championship at Palm Meadows & Lakelands Golf Courses in 2025 on the Gold Coast.  All four finalists from each club received a Bridgestone Golf Cap and their winnings above in Club Vouchers. 

National Championships Qualifications 2025

All four finalists have now also qualified for the national championship and are extended an invitation to contest Australia's best Amateur golf championship at the 2024 Handiskins National Championship held across both Palm Meadows Golf Course & Lakelands Golf Club next May. Given the great spirit shown in this months club finals, we are sure all four finalists would be in with a chance to claim the silverware and be crowned Handiskins National Champion. The 2025 event will be held from Wednesday 7th May – Sunday 11th May 2025.

Non-qualifiers can still join the fun of the National Championships 

For those  who weren't lucky enough to qualify for the National Championships but want to join these finalists and other club-mates on the Gold Coast each year, take a look at the amazing packages that we have available for the Peter Lehmann Wines Golf Challenge - A social Stableford championship for those wishing to join the fun of Handiskins National Championship Week. Win a Yamaha Golf Cart with HandiskinsDon't forget the Yamaha Chipping Competition!

Don't forget that three players from each participating club also have the chance to clean up at the Handiskins National Championships Week. After taking out the the nearest the pin challenge in the first, third and fifth rounds of qualifying, don't be surprised if you see these qualifiers spending an extended amount of time around the club chipping greens in the coming months. All three players who took out the nearest the pin have scored an invitation to contest the Yamaha Chipping competition at the 2025 Handiskins Championship Week. The winner will return to their club as the owner of a brand new Yamaha Golf Cart - just like our lucky 2024 winner Tom O'Rourke from Kiama Golf Club (watch below).
